Phulkari is a traditional craft from Punjab. The unique feature of this embroidery lies in the use of only one stitch, the simple darn, for creating beautiful designs. The stitches are worked on the wrong side of the cloth with a silk thread.Researchers have identified the flute as the oldest musical instrument. During the time of cavemen, it was made from bird bone and mammoth ivory.The first book printed in the world with movable metal type is called The Gutenberg Bible. It was printed in Germany in the year 1455 by the inventor of the printing press, Johannes Gutenberg.The Ramayana is considered to be the first narrative poem (Adi Kavya) in Sanskrit and its creator Valmiki is known as the first poet (Adi Kavi).47
